Amit Shah hits out at RJD for forming alliance with anti-backward Cong

Katihar, 21 April (HS): union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Sunday that the Lalu Prasad-led RJD had joined forces with the Congress, the party which continued to block the Mandal Commission's recommendations for reservations for backward groups for years.

Addressing an election rally in Bihar's Katihar supporting JD(U) candidate Dulal Chandra Goswami, he stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stopped nepotism, casteism, and appeasement politics and is working for the development of all sections of society.

The Congress party has a history of insulting the underprivileged. For years, Congress rejected the Mandal Commission report. Lalu Prasad's RJD has now joined forces with the Congress, he claims.

However, PM Modi showed respect to lakhs of people from the backward sections, he remarked. Shah stated that individuals who vote for the Congress and RJD should be prepared for communal clashes.

He said that voting for the NDA's twofold engine government meant progress. Katihar, along with the state's Lok Sabha seats of Kishanganj, Purnea, Bhagalpur, and Banka, will vote in the second round on April 26.
