Guwahati, 02 April (HS): Two drug paddlers were arrested with heroin in Cachar. According to the official information given by Cachar Police, a special operation against NDPS substances was launched on Tuesday based on a specific information. During the operation, the police team stopped a scooter (AS-11W-9984) at Gostala, Sonai. After the search, two smugglers were caught. 25 soap boxes were recovered from their possession, which were suspected to contain about 300 grams of heroin.

The arrested smugglers have been identified as Jabir Hussain Ahmed (32) and Makmodul Ahmed (25). The NDPS substance was seized and sealed on the spot in the presence of independent witnesses. Further investigation is going on.
