Guwahati, March 29 (HS). Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has claimed that while Assamese Muslims will join the BJP by the 2026 assembly elections, by the time the 2032 assembly elections come, all the Muslims will join the BJP. The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference here today. He said that the existing BJP organization has not yet been formed among the Bangladeshi Muslims. He said that after this election, only people of one sect will be seen praising their religion in Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan.

The Chief Minister today again claimed that State Congress President Bhupen Bora will join BJP by January-February 2025. The Chief Minister said that he can become a minister and also the Chief Minister by joining BJP, because BJP brings good leaders from other parties and puts them on good positions. The Chief Minister said that BJP brought him (Himanta) from Congress and made him the Chief Minister. Similarly, Bhupen Bora can also be made.

The Chief Minister said that BJP is a party running on the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas. He said that it is a different matter that leaders like Congress leaders Rokibul Hussain, Rekibuddin Ahmed, Nurul Hooda etc. cannot join BJP. During this, the Chief Minister also gave direct answers to many other questions of the journalists.
