Mirzapur, 28 March (HS): A labourer slipped and fell while loading boulders on a truck on Thursday morning in Sonpur Valley of Ahraura police station area. The labourer died on the spot when a boulder placed on his head fell on him. Inspector-in-charge Ahraura Vrijesh Singh said that Brijmohan Bind (38), son of Dhanraj, resident of Bindan Purva located in Sariya Gram Panchayat of the police station area was working to load boulders on the truck. While climbing the plank placed on the truck to load the boulder, he slipped and fell and the boulder fell on him, resulting in the death of the worker. The mining operator immediately removed the body of the labourer from the spot and sent it to his home and then informed the police. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Inspector in-charge said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the deceased's brother Duryadhan Bind. The incident is being investigated.
