New Delhi, 30 December (HS): Mixed signals are coming from the global market today. US markets closed under pressure in the previous session. Dow Jones futures are also trading weak today. European markets were able to close with gains on Friday. At the same time, mixed trading is also seen in Asian markets today.

There was continuous selling in the US market during the previous session, due to which the Wall Street index closed with a decline. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,970.95 points with a weakness of 1.10 percent. Similarly, Nasdaq ended the previous session's trading at 19,718.09 points, falling 302.27 points or 1.51 percent. Dow Jones Futures is currently trading at 42,882.97 points, down 109.24 points or 0.25 percent.

Unlike the American market, the European market remained enthusiastic during the last session. The FTSE index closed at 8,149.78 points with a gain of 0.16 percent. Similarly, the CAC index ended the last session by jumping 0.99 percent. Apart from this, the DAX index closed at 19,984.32 points with a gain of 135.55 points or 0.68 percent.

Mixed trading is seen in the Asian market today. Out of 9 Asian markets, the indices of 6 are trading in the red with a decline, while 3 indices are in the green with a gain. The Straits Times index is trading at 3,783.95 points with a gain of 0.33 percent. Similarly, the Kospi index has jumped 0.45 percent to reach the level of 2,415.55 points. Apart from this, the SET Composite Index is seen trading at the level of 1,406.78 points with a gain of 0.38 percent. On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 23,860 points with a weakness of 102.50 points i.e. 0.43 percent. Similarly, the Hang Seng Index has slipped 0.43 percent to reach the level of 20,004.57 points. There has been a big decline in the Nikkei index today. Currently, this index is seen trading at the level of 39,877.97 points, down by 403.19 points i.e. 1 percent. Apart from this, Taiwan Weighted Index is trading at 23,260.10 points with a weakness of 0.07 percent, Jakarta Composite Index is trading at 7,024.11 points with a decline of 0.18 percent and Shanghai Composite Index is trading at 3,397.12 points with a decline of 0.09 percent.
