New Delhi, 26 December (HS): The domestic stock market is rising amidst fluctuations during early trade today. Today's trade started strongly. After the market opened, both the Sensex and Nifty indices showed strong growth with the support of buying, but after the first 15 minutes of trading, they fell due to selling pressure. After trading till 10 am, Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.26 percent and Nifty with a strength of 0.29 percent.

After trading till 10 am, among the big stocks of the stock market, BPCL, SBI Life Insurance, State Bank of India, ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra shares were trading with a strength of 2.26 percent to 0.66 percent. On the other hand, shares of Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, Trent Limited, Tata Consumer Products and Cipla were seen trading with a decline of 0.50 percent to 0.34 percent.

So far, active trading was taking place in 2,301 shares in the stock market. Of these, 1,064 shares were trading in the green mark by making profits, while 1,237 shares were trading in the red mark by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 20 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 10 stocks were trading in the red mark under the pressure of selling. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 40 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 10 stocks in the red mark.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a gain of 84.41 points at 78,557.28 points. As soon as the trading started, with the support of buying, this index jumped to 78,898.37 points, but after this selling started in the market. Due to selling, the movement of this index declined. Amidst the continuous buying and selling in the market, after the trading till 10 am, the Sensex was trading with a gain of 207.86 points at the level of 78,680.73 points. Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty started trading today by jumping 48.15 points to the level of 23,775.80 points. As soon as the market opened, with the support of buying, this index jumped to 23,854.50 points in the first 15 minutes, but after this due to the pressure of selling, it fell to 23,773.60 points. After the continuous buying and selling in the market, Nifty was trading at 23,796.15 points with a gain of 68.50 points after 10 am.

Earlier on the last trading day on Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 78,472.87 points with a loss of 67.30 points i.e. 0.09 percent. On the other hand, Nifty ended Tuesday's trading at 23,727.65 points with a decline of 25.80 points i.e. 0.11 percent.
