Jaipur, 26 December (H.S.) : As the annual 'Urs' at the Dargah of sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti approaches, preparations are being made to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for the thousands of Zaireens who will visit the holy site. Ahead of the event, the Ajmer Municipal Corporation took action to remove encroachments from Dargah Bazaar and surrounding areas on Thursday.
With the help of police, the team used JCB machines to clear encroachments by shopkeepers in Dargah Bazaar, Delhi Gate, and Nala Bazaar. The corporation's official stated that this action was necessary to ensure that visitors face no problems and that there is enough space for the markets to function smoothly. Shopkeepers were initially given notice to remove their encroachments themselves, but those who did not comply were removed by the team.
