Positive signals from global markets, Asian markets on bullish trend


New Delhi, 26 December (HS): Positive signals are coming from the global market today. US markets closed with strength during the last session. However, Dow Jones Futures is seen trading with a decline today. There was selling pressure in the European markets during the last session. On the other hand, Asian markets are generally seeing a buying trend today.

US markets closed on Tuesday after trading with gains during the last session. The S&P 500 index closed at 6,040.04 points with a gain of 1.10 percent. Similarly, Nasdaq jumped 266.24 points or 1.35 percent to end the last session at 20,031.13 points. However, Dow Jones Futures is currently trading at 43,237.20 points with a decline of 0.14 percent.

A bullish trend is also seen in Asian markets today. Out of 9 Asian markets, 5 indices are trading strongly in the green mark, while one index is in the red mark with a decline. There is no trading today due to holiday in Singapore Stock Exchange, Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Indonesia Stock Exchange. In today's trading, only Shanghai Composite Index is showing weakness in Asian markets. Currently, this index is trading at 3,393.35 points with a slight decline of 0.01 percent.

On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at 23,824.50 points with a gain of 0.25 percent. Similarly, Nikkei index has jumped 0.24 percent to reach 39,130.43 points. Apart from this, Taiwan Weighted Index is trading at 23,220.13 points with a gain of 0.43 percent, SET Composite Index is trading at 1,400.41 points with a jump of 0.41 percent and Kospi Index is trading at 2,442.32 points with a gain of 0.07 percent.
