Kolkata, 26 December (H.S.): The service of Kolkata Mero was disrupted once again on Thursday morning, causing trouble to office-going passengers.

As per information, at around 9 am, the metro stopped for about half an hour due to technical fault at Belgachia station. Meanwhile, the metro was running on a limited basis from Girish Park to Kavi Subhash, but the service on the down line continued partially.

It is learnt that the metro coming from Dakshineshwar was stopped at Belgachia station. After evacuating the passengers, he metro was kept standing there for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the crowd started increasing at the station and the problems of the passengers increased further.

However, the metro service was started after 9:30 am, but the situation could not become normal due to the crowd of passengers. The metro was coming fully packed from Dakshineshwar and Dumdum itself, due to which passengers were not able to board at the next stations. This caused delay in reaching their destination to the passengers.
