New Delhi, 26 December (HS): The two-day meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) is starting from Thursday in Belgaum, Karnataka. The poster put up in the meeting premises has become embroiled in controversies. The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that the poster put up for this meeting shows the map of India incorrectly. In this map, Kashmir is shown as a part of Pakistan. Targeting the Congress, the BJP said that its intention has always been to break India.

BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala on Thursday alleged in an X-post that the Congress says unite India but the map of the country that they have put up today in the Belgaum convention has been tampered with. In this map, India's Jammu and Kashmir is shown in Pakistan and Aksai Chin in China. Using this map during its convention makes it clear that the Congress's mentality has always been to divide India.

Poonawalla said the Congress has once again started singing the Pakistan melody. By displaying a distorted map at its Belagavi event, depicting Kashmir as part of Pakistan, it shows disrespect for India's unity and sovereignty. They do not believe in Bharat Jodo or Samvidhaan but Bharat Todo.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya said in a post that Sonia Gandhi being chosen as the co-chair of the George Soros-funded Forum of Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation, which advocates Kashmiri independence, is no coincidence but a firm belief of the Congress. He said that at its Belagavi event, the Congress has put up a distorted map of India on all its hoardings, along with photographs of Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Vadra, among others, showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan. This can't be a mistake. It is a statement. It is part of their politics of appeasement, which believes that Indian Muslims are more loyal to Pakistan than India. The Congress is the new Muslim League.

He said It is noteworthy that the CWC, the highest policy making body of the Congress, is organizing an extended session in Belgaum, Karnataka. This two-day event is being celebrated to commemorate the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi presiding over the historic Belgaum (now Belgaum) session of the Congress as party president in 1924. Top Congress leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, CWC members from across the country and senior party leaders will participate in it.
