New Delhi, 20 December (HS): Global market is showing signs of weakness today. US market closed with slight weakness during the last session. However, Dow Jones futures are seen trading with a big decline today. European market also became a victim of massive selling during the last session. Mixed trading is happening in Asian markets today.

There was constant pressure in the US market during the last session, due to which Wall Street indices closed with a decline. S&P 500 index closed with a weakness of 0.09 percent at 5,867.08 points. Similarly, Nasdaq slipped 0.12 percent and ended the last session's trading at 19,369.58 points. Dow Jones Futures is currently trading at 42,081.82 points, down 260.42 points or 0.62 percent.

Like the US market, the European market also witnessed continuous selling pressure during the last session. The FTSE index closed at 8,105.32 points with a fall of 1.16 percent. Similarly, the CAC index ended the last session at 7,294.37 points with a weakness of 1.24 percent. Apart from this, the DAX index closed at 19,969.86 points, down 272.71 points or 1.37 percent.

Mixed trading is seen in Asian markets today. Out of 9 Asian markets, 5 indices are trading in the green with slight increase, while 4 indices are in the red with a decline. The Straits Times Index is trading at 3,730.24 points with a weakness of 0.87 percent. Similarly, the Taiwan Weighted Index has fallen by 218.78 points or 0.95 percent to reach the level of 22,713.47 points. There has been a big decline in the Kospi Index today. Currently, this index has fallen by 1.66 percent to reach the level of 2,395.44 points. Apart from this, the SET Composite Index is seen trading at the level of 1,367.06 points, falling by 0.76 percent. On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 24,035 points with a gain of 0.13 percent. Similarly, the Hang Seng Index has reached the level of 19,787.90 points with a gain of 0.18 percent. Apart from this, Nikkei index is trading at 38,831 points with a slight increase of 0.04 percent, Jakarta Composite index is trading at 6,979.80 points with a gain of 0.04 percent and Shanghai Composite index is trading at 3,388.22 points with a jump of 0.54 percent.
