- Financial assistance to flood affected families and distribution of seed capital to beneficiaries

Guwahati, 19 December (HS): As part of the 12 Days of Development campaign under the schemes of the Education, Industry, Finance and Revenue Department of the Government of Assam, various certificates and assistance were provided to eligible beneficiaries of Kamrup (Metro) district on Thursday. On this occasion, Agriculture and Excise Minister of Government of Assam and Minister-in-charge of Kamrup (Metro) district Atul Bora participated as the chief guest in the program organized at the Guwahati District Library Auditorium.

The Minister provided seed capital under the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme and financial relief to the beneficiaries under the Microfinance Assistance Scheme. In his address, Minister Bora mentioned various steps being taken to make Assam one of the top five states of the country under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. He appreciated the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister and thanked him for his efforts to make Assam a prosperous state.

No Dues Certificate (debt free certificate) was provided to 612 women, financial assistance to 986 flood affected families, and seed capital to 68 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Scheme in this program.

Mayor of Guwahati Municipal Corporation Mrigen Sarania, District Commissioner Sumit Sattavan, Chief Executive Officer of Kamrup (Metro) Zila Parishad Dhiraj Das, District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuiyan, General Manager Industries Umesh Kumar, LDM Santosh Sharma, Assistant Commissioner and other officers and employees of the district administration and beneficiaries were present in the program.
