Guwahati, 25 October (HS): A total of 24 candidates filed nomination papers for the by-elections for five assembly constituencies on Friday. Three candidates filed nominations for Dholai seat, one for Sidli, five for Bangaigaon, 12 for Samguri and 3 candidates filed nominations for Bihali assembly constituency. With these nominations, the total number of candidates filing nominations has gone up to 38. It is worth noting that today was the last day to file nominations for the by-elections.
