New Delhi, October 22 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Russian city of Kazan on Tuesday to attend the summit of BRICS countries.

The Prime Minister's Office shared this information on the social media platform X this afternoon and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kazan, Russia a while ago. During this visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the BRICS summit.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the BRICS summit organized on the theme Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security will provide an important platform for the leaders to discuss major global issues. This summit will provide a valuable opportunity to assess the progress of the initiatives launched by BRICS and identify potential areas for future cooperation.

Apart from attending the BRICS summit, he can hold bilateral meetings with other leaders including the Presidents of China and Russia.
