Varanasi, Oct 17 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is
scheduled to launch and lay the groundwork for projects worth Rs 1,300 crore in
his parliamentary constituency on October 20, officials said here on Thursday. Multi-layer
security procedures are being made for the Prime Minister's visit, during which
he will address two public meetings.
According to Dilip Patel, head of the BJP's
Kashi region, PM Modi is scheduled to arrive at Babatpur Airport at 12:30 pm on
October 20. From there, he will travel to Shankara Nethralaya on Ring Road to
open the hospital. He will visit the facilities and address around 1,000
attendees invited by the hospital trust. Following that, the Prime Minister
will drive by road to the Sampurnanand Sports Stadium in Sigra to launch a
sports facility.
During his visit, he is anticipated to launch
and set the groundwork for a number of new initiatives. The Prime Minister will
leave for Delhi at 6 p.m. following the proceedings.
Kaushal Raj Sharma, the Divisional Commissioner
of Varanasi, stated that the opening of Shankara Netralaya will assist not just
Varanasi but also people from Purvanchal and Bihar.
During his visit, the Prime Minister would
launch and lay the groundwork for many projects, including the Babatpur Airport
terminal and other airport-related initiatives worth Rs 1,300 crore, Sharma
noted.
According to Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal,
preparations for the Prime Minister's visit are now ongoing. Arrangements are
being taken to guarantee that the public is not inconvenienced during the prime
minister's visit. We intend to keep participants' walking distances to a
minimum, he explained.
