Jalgaon, 15 Oct (HS): A large number of fake

currency notes are being detected in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon. During an investigation, police detected the connection of the scandal to Madhya Pradesh.

The police arrested two suspects from Jamner in this

connection. The four suspects held so far were produced in the court, which

remanded them the police custody up to October 16. Chetan Sawkare and Naim

Sheikh were arrested from Yawal. This was followed by the arrests of Nazril Nasir

Khan (30), and Ghani Majid Khan (47) from Jamnagar.

Police recovered 27 currency notes of Rs 500

denomination from Nazril. He said that the notes were received from Hakim

Mohammad Amin and Zuber Asraf Ansari from Burhanpur. Police started searching

for them. Hakim is absconding, while Zuber is in jail in Khandwa in connection

with a different offense.
