New Delhi, October 15 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that India has worked to bridge the socio-economic divide and strengthen access by moving beyond connectivity by using telecommunications as a means of equality and opportunity. The world can strengthen public welfare work by taking advantage of India's digital experience.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly of the International Telecommunication Union at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi said that India is engaged in connecting the world by taking it out of conflict. He appealed to global institutions to set standards regarding telecommunication and digital technology.

The Prime Minister said that there are four major bases of digital development in India, which include providing cheap devices, providing connectivity in every corner of the country, cheap data and giving priority to Digital First. Unprecedented work has been done on these major points in the last 10 years.
