DGP addresses trainee Goa Police personnels

Guwahati, 15 October (Assam): Assam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh on Tuesday shared his experiences with the newly recruited Goa Police personnel who have come to get training. The DGP said many motivational words to 700 new recruits - 569 men and 131 women. This was the first recruitment training of Goa Police after 2013. It is known that these recruits selected to join the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion of Goa Police will go on a transformational journey from here, undergoing a rigorous training program of 43 weeks.

The DGP welcomed the recruits and expressed pride that the profession they are entering is extremely important. The DGP said, You are not just joining the police force, you are becoming part of a legacy. A force that works with honor, courage and commitment to justice.

It is noteworthy that the training program for them will be organized at the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy in Dergaon, Assam, where essential qualities such as discipline, loyalty, physical fitness and proficiency in weapons will be developed in the recruits.

The DGP highlighted the great responsibility of wearing the police uniform. Reminded the recruits that they will be the face of law and order, entrusted with the task of protecting the lives, rights and property of the people.

The DGP emphasized on the values that will guide the recruits throughout their careers. Which includes pride in service, loyalty to the nation and selflessness in duty. He also underlined the importance of physical and mental fitness as well as camaraderie.

The DGP concluded the address with a call to serve with courage, honesty and unwavering commitment to the law. The DGP urged the recruits to uphold the highest ideals of public service, reminding them that the people of Goa are counting on them to ensure security and justice.

During this, DGP GP Singh also addressed 1957 newly appointed Manipur Police constables, who are undergoing basic training at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon.
