New Delhi, October 1 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness at Hyderabad House here on Tuesday.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs shared a picture of the meeting of the two leaders on the social media platform X on Tuesday and wrote, Carrying forward the deep and historical relations between India and Jamaica. Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly welcomed Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness when he arrived at Hyderabad House for bilateral talks.
Earlier, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Michael Holness paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in Delhi. On this occasion, he was presented with books written on Mahatma Gandhi and a statue of Mahatma Gandhi by the Rajghat Committee.
Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness is on a four-day visit to India to strengthen bilateral relations in several key areas including trade and investment. This is the first bilateral visit of a Jamaican Prime Minister to India.
