Ranchi, 21 June (HS): Vishnu Agrawal, the Nucleus Mall director who got into trouble after getting involved in an illegal land deal here, on Wednesday appeared at the regional office of the Directorate of Enforcement in Hinoo to answer questions from the central probe agency.
Agrawal had gone to the same office on May 8, but left for medical reasons.
The investigation team wants to know about his relationship with former Ranchi deputy commissioners Chhavi Ranjan and Prem Prakash, as well as how the land was fraudulently transferred.
The ED's investigation into Agrawal has been ongoing for some time. The investigation agency also raided his locations on November 4, 2022. During the investigation, it was discovered that Bharat Prasad created the owner's paper by tampering with the original document for the land on Cheshire Home Road.
This land was then transferred to Punit Bhargava, a close associate of power broker Prem Prakash. Punit sold this land to Vishnu Agarwal for ₹1.8 crore. ₹1.5 crore was transferred to Prem Prakash's account from the ₹1.8 crore received from Vishnu Aggarwal.
