Ranchi, 18 October (HS): Expressing displeasure over the working style of Ranchi Police, the Jharkhand High Court has directed Ranchi SSP to personally file an affidavit.
Advocate clerk (Munshi) Subodh Kumar had filed a petition in the High Court. In this petition, it is said that an incident of robbery was committed against him on September 29. After the incident, he applied to register an FIR at the Dhurva police station, but the police did not register the FIR. Now the High Court will hear this matter on November 7.
When the FIR was not registered, Subodh Kumar also informed the SSP about the matter. Despite this, no action was taken, after which Subodh filed a petition in the High Court requesting instructions to the Ranchi Police to register an FIR. On Wednesday, Subodh's petition was heard in the court of Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi.
