Quetta, 30 September (H.S.): A bomb blast destroyed a building under construction at an educational institution in Balochistan’s Nasirabad district, while five soldiers were reportedly killed in an attack on two army vehicles in Kachhi district. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has also claimed that its fighters continue to control the main highway in Kalat and Khuzdar, alleging that the Pakistan Army is reluctant to engage in a direct confrontation.

According to a report by The Balochistan Post, unidentified armed men bombed a building under construction for Balochistan Residential College in the Nuttal police station area. No one was inside the building at the time of the explosion. The building had reportedly been under construction since 2018. Following the blast, Pakistani Army and police personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area.

Meanwhile, Dostain Baloch, spokesperson for the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), said in a statement to the media that fighters ambushed two army vehicles on the Dhadar-Sanni Road in the Chhattari area of Kachhi on Tuesday morning. He claimed that five soldiers were killed at the scene and several others were wounded.

BLF spokesperson Major Ghoram Baloch said that during the night of September 28-29, female commanders of the group’s Karima Armed Assault Division established a roadblock at midnight in the Dasht Goran area of Kalat along the Quetta-Karachi Highway and searched passing vehicles. He said the blockade was removed at 5 p.m. and claimed that the Pakistan Army did not intervene.

Major Ghoram Baloch further claimed that BLF fighters continued to maintain control of the main highway in Kalat and Khuzdar.

The claims of casualties and control of the highway could not be independently verified.
