Washington, 29 September (H.S.): The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has intensified its pursuit of Indian national Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, adding him to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest.

The FBI shared the information on its website and X account on Monday. According to the agency, the reward will be paid for information that leads to Singh’s arrest. The FBI alleges that Goldy Brar is the North American leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi organized crime group and helped direct the activities of its members and associates.

According to the U.S. law enforcement agency, the group is allegedly involved in a range of serious crimes in Southern California and across the United States and Canada, including targeted killings, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons.

The FBI says Singh faces federal charges including conspiracy under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), conspiracy to interfere with and attempted interference with commerce through extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances with intent to distribute.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California said a federal grand jury returned an indictment against Singh and others on July 1, 2026. The charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Goldy Brar, a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, has been widely associated in Indian media with the killing of prominent Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Brar has also been accused in connection with the 2023 killing in Canada of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The FBI says Singh and Lawrence Bishnoi are charged with ordering that assassination.

It has been reported that Brar entered the world of organized crime following the killing of his cousin, Gurlal Brar. He subsequently became associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. The Indian government has also designated Goldy Brar as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

According to reports, Brar has been operating from Canada and has been linked to criminal and extremist networks. However, the latest FBI release states that he is known to reside in California and various parts of Canada; it does not specify Brampton as his current place of residence.
