WASHINGTON, September 28 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson will travel to 22 states ahead of the midterm elections, Axios reported on Monday.

The speaker will make his tour across districts held by the Republican party and those it hopes to snatch from Democrats, the report said, citing details of the trip it obtained.

Johnson will begin his trip in the states of Louisiana and New York. The lawmaker will also be campaigning in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin, the report added,

The United States will hold midterm congressional elections on November 3, during which, according to analysts, the Republicans risk losing control of the House of Representatives to Democrats. Experts attribute the potential loss of the congressional majority to the administration's declining approval ratings amid the military campaign against Iran, as well as rising prices.
