Quetta, 27 September (H.S.): At least nine Pakistani Army personnel were reportedly killed in attacks claimed by the ‘Karima Armed Assault Division’ (KAD), the women’s armed wing of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which was formed earlier this month. The BLA claimed that its female fighters carried out two operations in Turbat, Kalat and Manguchar, posing a significant challenge to Pakistani security forces.

BLA spokesperson Baloch said in a statement issued to the media on Saturday that KAD engaged Pakistani security forces in clashes near the CPEC highway in the Jusk area of Turbat and on the Quetta-Karachi highway in Manguchar city, Kalat. He said that on September 22 and September 25, KAD commanders targeted and destroyed three vehicles belonging to the Pakistani Army’s Quick Response Force using explosives. At least nine Army personnel were reportedly killed in the clashes, according to the statement.

He said KAD received full support from the BLA’s Qurban Unit during the operation. Baloch said Captain Chakar Murad, alias Dileep Jan, commander of the Qurban Unit, was killed during the fighting.

The spokesperson claimed that nine Pakistani Army personnel were killed in the two clashes in Jusk and Manguchar. He said Captain Chakar Murad had formally joined the armed struggle for independence through the Balochistan Liberation Front in February 2021. According to the statement, he had spent several years in prison and, following his release, joined the BLA on a full-time basis.
