Kathmandu, 26 September (H.S.): Nepal and Serbia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a bilateral consultation mechanism between their respective foreign ministries.

The MoU was signed by Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and Serbia’s Foreign Minister Marko Đurić at an event held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the signing ceremony, both ministers expressed their pleasure over the conclusion of the important agreement. They also discussed various aspects of the close and cooperative bilateral relations between Nepal and Serbia.

The meeting also focused on the importance of stronger global solidarity and cooperation in addressing climate action. Both sides emphasized that regular consultations and dialogue would play an important role in further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across various areas of mutual interest.
