Kathmandu, 24 September (H.S.): Two people, including an Indian national and a Nepali citizen, have been arrested with more than 600 grams of gold at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu.

According to police, both suspects had arrived in Kathmandu from Doha, Qatar. Mohammed Chera Thodi, a 42-year-old Indian national, was arrested from the airport parking area, and 536 grams of gold were recovered from his possession. Similarly, 33-year-old Anish Ansari, a resident of Pacharauta Piparpati in Bara district, who had also arrived from Qatar, was arrested with 69.6 grams of gold.

According to the Airport Security Police Office, both suspects, along with the recovered gold, have been handed over to the Gaushala Police Circle for further investigation.
