MOSCOW, September 11 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russia increased its trade with Global South countries by 14.5% in the first half of 2026, Russian Deputy Trade and Industry Minister Roman Chekushov told RIA Novosti.

The value of Russia's trade with the countries of the Global South increased by 14.5% in the first half of the year, and by 24.5% in the past three years. This shows that our trade is focused on them, Chekushov said.

The ministry sees a sustained upward trend in trade with the Global South, which now accounts for 76.3% of Russia's total foreign trade, Chekushov added.
