Kathmandu, 11 September (H.S.):

The search for people missing from the flood-damaged Upper Trishuli Hydropower Project continued on Thursday. According to the project management, search operations are being conducted inside the tunnel and headbox to locate those still unaccounted for.

Various teams, including the Nepal Army, Nepal Drone Association, a South Korean team and Sherpas, are involved in the search operation. Trained search dogs have also been deployed as part of the effort.

According to the project, a total of 1,433 employees were working at the project site before the flood struck. So far, 878 people have been rescued.

At present, 545 people remain missing from the project. They include nine South Korean, 34 Chinese and 50 Indian nationals. The remaining missing workers are Nepali citizens.
