MOSCOW, September 11 (HS/RIA Novosti) - A coronavirus pandemic is possible if a new strain emerges, Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor head Anna Popova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

If the coronavirus manifests itself in a different genovariant, then, in principle, anything is possible. This is one of the scenarios for a pandemic spread that we have been discussing for some 20 years. It is quite clear that this could happen, Popova said when asked about the possibility of a new coronavirus pandemic.
