NEW DELHI, September 10 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of state corporation Rostec) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) plan to sign an agreement to localize the production of Russian Superjet aircraft in India by the end of the year, Oleg Bogomolov, UAC’s director of civil aviation program management, said on Thursday.

I would like to note separately that we have been conducting comprehensive negotiations with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for several months regarding the localization of the Superjet 100, and we expect that in the next few months or by the end of the year, we will reach a firm and concrete agreement on the production of this aircraft, Bogomolov said during the Innoprom. The UAC and HAL have agreed on a roadmap for cooperation, which will consist of four phases and include the certification of Indian components, Bogomolov added.
