VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, September 1 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russia is forced to develop retaliatory measures to the aspirations of NATO countries, including Finland, to allow the deployment of nuclear weapons and to participate in the nuclear missions of the alliance, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on Tuesday.

Of course, in our military planning, in developing possible retaliatory measures or precautions, we have to take this reality into account, Grushko told reporters on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2026).

Russia's pacific coast city of Vladivostok is hosting the EEF-2026 from September 1-4. RIA Novosti is a general media partner of the EEF.
