Lucknow, 30 Aug (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad

Maurya on Sunday sought information from the Mission Director, Uttar Pradesh

State Rural Livelihood Mission about the schemes related to self-help groups.

He found the ground data unsatisfactory and gave strict instructions over the

phone.

Deputy Chief Minister said that the

department established 543 Prerana Saral stores at the block level to

distribute and brand self-help group products, and more than 3,000 products

were linked to online and offline marketing platforms. The process of reaching

these products in national and international markets should be expedited so

that women can receive fair prices for their products and increase their

income.

While giving instructions to increase women's participation in the field of

decentralized energy, he said that to achieve the goal of Lakhpati Didi, women

should be connected to solar energy-based activities through extensive

publicity at the rural level. Solar energy installation work should be promoted

by informing industries and entrepreneurs about the benefits of solar energy.

Deputy Chief Minister while reviewing

the Drone Didi scheme, he said that Drone Sakhis have been selected for

11,81,660 hectares in 75 districts, and 114 drones have been provided to the

Didis in the first phase. He directed that special attention should be paid to

increasing farmers' income, reducing farming costs, reducing the use of

chemical fertilizers, and promoting organic farming through drone technology.

He directed that the Take Home Ration Scheme be expanded to all 75 districts

soon. Currently, 204 units operate in 43 districts, employing approximately

4,000 members. The Deputy Chief Minister also directed that more group sisters

be involved in sectors such as dairy production, beekeeping, and fisheries.

Keshav Prasad Maurya asked the Mission Director to work in mission mode

towards the target of connecting 03 crore women with self-help groups and

creating 01 crore lakhpati didis. The Deputy Chief Minister said that as a

pilot project, under the Chief Minister's Women's Production Marketing Scheme,

we will establish centers in 826 development blocks of 75 districts, 100

railway and bus stations, and five airports. Officials have been instructed to

submit proposals soon.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated clearly that negligence in the

implementation of schemes will not be tolerated. The double-engine government

aims to empower women, make them economically self-reliant, and bring prosperity

to their families.
