Islamabad, 30 August (H.S.): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reportedly found his prospective life partner, who is said to be based in Europe. Reports have even claimed that his father, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, has met the family of his alleged future daughter-in-law. Preparations for Bilawal’s wedding are reportedly underway, with speculation suggesting that he could get married by the end of this year.
According to a report published by The News, Bilawal’s alleged fiancée resides in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. Sources cited in the report claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari had travelled to Vaduz along with other family members to discuss and finalise a possible wedding date for his son. The reports further suggested that Bilawal’s wedding could take place towards the end of 2026.
However, Bilawal’s spokesperson and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab dismissed the reports on social media, describing claims about the PPP chairman’s engagement or marriage as false and baseless.
Liechtenstein is a small independent country in Western Europe, located between Switzerland and Austria. Bilawal has spoken publicly about marriage in the past, but he has never disclosed the identity of a prospective partner or provided a date for his wedding.
During the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2022, a journalist asked Bilawal, who was Pakistan’s foreign minister at the time, about his plans to get married.
Smiling, Bilawal replied, “Of course, I plan to get married.” However, when asked when he intended to tie the knot, he declined to provide further details.
Bilawal had also spoken about marriage in 2016, saying that his future bride would first have to win the hearts of his sisters. He had jokingly remarked that winning over his sisters would be a particularly difficult task for any prospective bride.
