Nagaon (Assam), 16 August (HS): AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal has claimed that the Congress cannot field a Muslim candidate in Nagaon Lk Sabha seat in by election. He further alleged that if the Congress gives the party ticket to a Muslim candidate, the party would split.

Ajmal made the remarks while commenting on the political scenario surrounding the upcoming Nagaon by-election. His statement comes amid discussions over possible candidates and the Congress's electoral strategy in the constituency.
