
Bhubaneswar, 16 August (H.S.) : Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling chaired a high-level review meeting at Shaheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital in Koraput to assess the state of healthcare services, infrastructure and patient care at the institution.
During the meeting, the Minister held detailed discussions with officials on the availability of medical facilities, treatment arrangements, infrastructure requirements and measures to further improve patient services. Special emphasis was placed on reducing maternal and infant mortality rates and ensuring timely and quality healthcare for patients.
Dr. Mahaling stressed that safeguarding public health and providing quality patient care remain key priorities of the Odisha Government. He directed officials to take necessary steps to ensure that patients receive accessible, affordable and quality medical treatment at the hospital.
The Minister also reviewed the existing infrastructure and discussed measures to strengthen and expand facilities to meet the healthcare needs of the people in the region.
He advised officials to focus on improving service delivery and hospital infrastructure while ensuring that patients receive better and more efficient healthcare services.
