Sagar dedicates Rs 65 lakh road project to public


Jammu, 12 August (H.S.): The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar today inaugurated and dedicated a 1,500-foot-long concrete road constructed at a cost of Rs 65 lakh under road development project at Peer Bagh Colony, Abi Nao Pora to public.

The construction of the road was a long-pending demand of the local residents and its completion has provided an important facility to the people of the area.

MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar was also present on the occasion.

After inaugurating the road, Ali Mohammad Sagar presided over a public darbar, where he listened to the issues, grievances and demands of the people.

He took up several matters with the concerned authorities on the spot said that the essence of public representation lies in addressing people's concerns on a priority basis and ensuring the provision of basic amenities.

Sagar said that providing basic and essential services, strengthening infrastructure and improving the quality of life of the common people remain among the foremost priorities of the National Conference Government.

He said that over the past nearly two years, development activities in the Khanyar constituency have gained considerable momentum, with work undertaken on roads, lanes and by-lanes, parks, community halls, streetlights and other essential civic infrastructure.

The Government headed by CM Omar Abdullah has over the past two years, made sincere efforts to reconnect the administrative and development process with the priorities and needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Several measures have been undertaken in the fields of roads, bridges, water supply, electricity, healthcare, education, urban infrastructure, employment, tourism and public welfare, he added.
