Sivasagar (Assam), 12 August (HS): The Pride East Entertainment Private Limited CMD and Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma has extended financial assistance of ₹1 crore to 20 flood-affected schools in the Nazira and Demow constituencies of Upper Assam, with the aim of supporting students and helping educational institutions recover from the devastating floods.

Riniki Bhuyan handed over cheques of ₹5 lakh each to 15 flood-affected schools in the Nazira constituency. Similarly, five affected schools in the Demow constituency were provided financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each.

The initiative is aimed at helping the affected schools restore essential facilities and ensuring that students can continue their education without disruption following the floods.

Revenue Minister Keshab Mahanta, Water Resources Minister Sushanta Borgohain and Pride East Group Vice President (Media) Syed Zarir Hussain were present at the programme.-----------
