New Delhi, 11 August (H.S.): Powered by impressive knocks from Anuj Rawat and Aryan Gaur, Purani Dilli 6 secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Outer Delhi Warriors in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026.

In the match played on Monday night, Outer Delhi Warriors posted 165 runs after being put into bat, but Purani Dilli 6 chased down the target comfortably to register a comprehensive win.

Outer Delhi Warriors made a brisk start, with left-handed opener Priyansh Arya taking the attack to the bowlers. He smashed 46 runs off just 19 balls, including four sixes and four boundaries. However, Arya's dismissal in the fifth over slowed the Warriors' scoring rate, and the team soon found itself in trouble after losing five wickets for 95 runs by the ninth over.

Akshay Saini and Shivam Sharma then steadied the innings and attempted to guide the team towards a competitive total. The duo added 55 runs for the sixth wicket. Saini top-scored with 49 off 40 balls, while Sharma contributed 22 runs from 23 deliveries.

However, the remaining Outer Delhi Warriors batters failed to make a significant impact, and the entire side was eventually bowled out for 165 runs.

Purani Dilli 6 also endured an early setback during the chase, losing two wickets for just nine runs. Rawat and Gaur then joined forces to completely change the complexion of the match with a commanding partnership.

Rawat adopted an aggressive approach and kept the Outer Delhi bowlers under constant pressure, while Gaur accelerated the scoring from the other end. Their partnership put Purani Dilli 6 firmly in control.

Rawat produced a breathtaking 92 off just 38 balls, taking his team to within touching distance of victory with a series of attacking strokes. After his dismissal, Gaur remained unbeaten on 57 off 40 balls and completed the chase, securing a comfortable seven-wicket victory for Purani Dilli 6.
