New Delhi, 01 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mysuru, Karnataka, on Saturday, where he will inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre–Viveka Memorial, a landmark project built at an estimated cost of ₹45 crore.

Constructed within the historic Niranjana Math premises on Narayana Shastry Road, the memorial commemorates Swami Vivekananda's visit to Mysuru in 1892. Spread across nearly 81,000 square feet, the centre has been developed to showcase the life, teachings, and enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda while promoting India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. The information was shared by Muktidananda Ji Maharaj, President of the Ramakrishna Ashrama Trust.

After inaugurating the Viveka Memorial at around 3:30 p.m., the Prime Minister will visit the Ramakrishna Ashrama. He will later participate in a public programme at the auditorium of Ramakrishna Vidyashala on KRS Road.

Extensive security arrangements have been put in place across Mysuru in view of the Prime Minister's visit. Special security measures have been enforced along his travel route, with temporary traffic restrictions and diversions implemented at several locations. Mysuru City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar has appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration during the visit.

The event will be attended by several dignitaries, including Muktidananda Ji Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Gautamananda Ji Maharaj of Belur Math, Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Member of Parliament Yaduveer Wadiyar, BJP Karnataka President B.Y. Vijayendra, local MLA Harish Gowda, and other distinguished guests.
