New Delhi, 01 August (H.S.): Congress General Secretary (Communications) Jairam Ramesh on Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to portray himself as a victim instead of apologising to the country over the NEET question paper leak controversy.

In a post on X, Jairam Ramesh alleged that the Prime Minister frequently makes indecent remarks against his political opponents and former prime ministers and attempts to defame them through baseless allegations.

Ramesh said the Prime Minister should apologise to the nation over issues including the alleged paper leak in the National Testing Agency (NTA), the action taken against students during protests, controversies related to the Ram Temple Trust, and decisions such as demonetisation.

He alleged that instead of addressing the concerns of the youth and taking responsibility, the Prime Minister was trying to shift the focus by presenting himself as a victim.
