
New Delhi, 08 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam on his X handle, highlighting the importance of patience, resilience and unwavering determination. He said patience is the greatest strength of any nation, enabling it to remain united even in the face of the most difficult challenges while continuously progressing towards development, prosperity and self-reliance.
Sharing the verse, the Prime Minister said that even mighty mountains can be shaken by the winds at the end of an era, but the resolute mind of a determined individual never wavers, even during the most trying circumstances.
The Sanskrit verse reads:
Chalanti Girayah Kaamam Yugantapavanahataah |
Krichchhre'pi Na Chalatyeva Dheeranaam Nishchalam Manah ||
Explaining its meaning, the Prime Minister said that although even gigantic mountains may tremble under the force of catastrophic winds at the time of cosmic dissolution, the minds of courageous, wise and steadfast individuals never deviate from their resolve, even in the face of severe hardship or crisis.
The verse conveys the message that people should preserve their mental composure, remain firm in their convictions and never abandon the path of truth, regardless of how difficult the circumstances may be.
Emphasising the broader significance of the message, PM Modi said patience and determination are among the greatest strengths of a nation, inspiring its people to stay united and continue advancing towards sustained progress, prosperity and self-reliance despite every challenge.
