
Lucknow, 06 July (HS): Indian Navy Chief Admiral Krishna
Swaminathan met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his
official house in Lucknow. This high-level bonhomie demonstrates the continued
collaboration between the state government and the Indian Navy on national
security, defense readiness, and regional stability. Admiral's first high-level
meetings with state authorities in Uttar Pradesh since taking command of the
naval forces were marked with a ceremonial courtesy call.
The forum highlighted the critical relationship between marine security
programs and hinterland states, emphasizing on how India's Indian Navy
collaborates with states to protect national interests and economic growth. Admiral
Krishna Swaminathan formally took over as Chief of Naval Staff. He is a
respected communication and electronic warfare specialist who has previously
commanded vital naval assets such as the INS Vikramaditya and served as Vice
Chief of Naval Staff.
In a post on X, UP CM mentioned, “A courtesy call was held
today with Admiral Shri Krishna Swaminathanji, Chief of the Indian Navy, at the
government residence in Lucknow.”
