Guwahati, 06 July (HS): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) registered a 9.6% year-on-year increase in freight loading in June 2026, transporting 0.968 million tonnes of goods and achieving 110 per cent of its monthly loading target.

According to NFR CPRO Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, major growth was recorded in cement, petroleum products, coal and stone chips loading. The cumulative freight loading during the current financial year up to June reached 2.931 million tonnes, marking a 6.2% increase over the corresponding period last year and achieving 109% of the Railway Board's target.----------
