Guwahati, 06 July (HS): BJP Assam Pradesh on Monday paid floral tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his 125th birth anniversary at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati. The programme, led by state BJP president Dilip Saikia, reaffirmed the party's commitment to Dr. Mookerjee's ideals of cultural nationalism, constitutional unity and national integration.

Addressing the gathering, Saikia highlighted Dr. Mookerjee's contributions as an educationist, founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and a strong advocate of national unity. BJP spokesperson Dr. Zafreen Mehjabin also recalled his role in safeguarding Assam's place within India before Independence and said his vision continues to inspire the country's development and national integration. The programme concluded with participants pledging to carry forward his ideals of nation-building.----------
