Guwahati, 06 July (HS): AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal on Monday said the party is fully prepared for the upcoming Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election and will field a strong candidate capable of effectively representing the constituency in Parliament. MLa Ajmal was talking to media today outside the a house after participating.

Ajmal also hinted that, if required, his son could be considered as the AIUDF candidate for the Nagaon Lok Sabha seat. However, he said the party would take an appropriate decision at the right time after internal discussions.

Rejecting allegations that AIUDF is the BJP's B-Team, Ajmal claimed that it is the Congress that has become the BJP's B-Team. He took a swipe at the Congress, saying the party now has new scriptwriters and that its dialogues keep changing from time to time.

Commenting on opposition unity, Ajmal advised Akhil Gogoi to join hands with AIUDF instead of struggling to unite opposition parties. He asserted that had Akhil Gogoi's Raijor Dal allied with AIUDF, the party could have won around eight Assembly seats.---------
