
Guwahati, 05 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday clarified that no proposal has been made to withdraw the use of the Bodo language in the proceedings or other official work of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
In a post on social media, the Chief Minister, citing the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, said the state government remains fully committed to the preservation and promotion of the Bodo language.
He further stated that the Bodo language is an inseparable part of Assam's rich cultural heritage and identity, dismissing speculation regarding its removal from Assembly proceedings.-----------
