Kamrup (Assam), 05 July (HS): A district-level review meeting on forest-related matters was held at the District Commissioner's Office in Kamrup under the chairmanship of District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra, officials informed today.

The meeting reviewed pending title certificates for eligible forest dwellers under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, engagement of Gaon Pradhans in forest villages and infrastructure works including installation of APDCL power poles and PHE water reservoirs in forest areas.

The District Commissioner directed all concerned departments to conduct joint inspections with forest officials to ensure timely resolution of issues through coordinated action. Senior officials from the Forest Department, APDCL, PHE and the District Forest Rights Committee attended the meeting.---------------
