Lucknow, 05 July (HS): Union Minister and Lok Janshakti

Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan said on Sunday that his party will

commemorate the birth anniversary of its founder, Ram Vilas Paswan, in Lucknow

this year as part of its attempts to build the organization in Uttar Pradesh

ahead of the Assembly elections. Addressing reporters, Paswan stated that the

party was aiming to build its organisational basis across the nation while

upholding the objectives of the late Ram Vilas Paswan. The party has chosen to

commemorate the late Ram Vilas Paswan, our founder, leader, and father, on his

birth anniversary in Lucknow this year. We hope that this project would infuse

fresh vigor into the organisation and boost the party in Uttar Pradesh, he

added.

He stated that the LJP (Ram Vilas) had already developed a

significant foothold in Bihar and had MLAs in Jharkhand and Nagaland, while

also expanding its reach in numerous northeastern states. With the same

objective, we established a goal of developing the organisation in Uttar

Pradesh. Paswan stated that multiple activities will be held in various

districts of the state in the coming days under the leadership of the state

unit. Paswan stated that the party was eager to participate in the Uttar

Pradesh Assembly elections and that decisions on seat-sharing and alliances

will be made by the state unit and authorized by the central parliamentary

board.

I sincerely acknowledge that the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram

Vilas) wants to run in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The type of the

alliance and the number of seats we will compete for will be determined by the

state unit, whose proposal will be transmitted to the central parliamentary

board for final approval, he added. We

are members of the NDA at the national level and in Bihar, and we want to

deepen the alliance in Uttar Pradesh as well. However, the party's state unit

and the central parliamentary board would make the ultimate decision, he said. In

response to a query on an alleged internet threat against Prime Minister

Narendra Modi, Paswan stated that the subject should be taken very seriously.

This is a major issue that needs to be addressed. Under Prime Minister Narendra

Modi's leadership, India's prominence and popularity have risen abroad.

Naturally, some people may have ill will against him. Whoever is behind such

threats would meet severe consequences, he added.

On the alleged Ram temple contribution theft case, Paswan

described it as a case of corruption involving public religion and stated that

politics should not be used to exploit religious sensibilities. This is a

corruption-related issue that has harmed the feelings of millions of believers.

I am a devotee of Lord Ram. Everyone who believes in Lord Ram is worried about

this subject. He stated that there should be no politics surrounding

faith-based concerns. He stated that both the Central and Uttar Pradesh

governments were assuring a fair probe.
