
MOSCOW, July 3 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Global prices for fishmeal, used as fertilizer and animal feed, reached a record high in June, while the cost of sunflower and rapeseed oil reached its highest levels since 2022, according to World Bank data.
The average global price of fishmeal rose 4.9% last month compared to May, reaching $2,145, an all-time high.
The average price of sunflower oil increased by almost 0.5% month-on-month, reaching $1,510 per tonne. This is the highest level since July 2022, when a tonne of the product cost $1,557.
Rapeseed oil, meanwhile, rose by approximately 0.7% compared to May, reaching $1,498 per tonne. This is the highest price since August 2022, when the same volume of oil cost $1,639.
The price of lamb increased by an average of 2.6% month-on-month, reaching $7.47 per kilogram, the highest since October 2022, when the price was $7.70 per kilogram.
